Antique wood authentically invokes the stylistic sensibilities of bygone eras.  However, it would be a mistake to assume that it can only be used for one particular application or style.

We have seen recycled lumber turned into everything from flooring to trim to furniture to even architectural decorative fixtures.  Some projects utilize a vintage look, while others graft the wood into whatever style suits the project.  Remember, using reclaimed wood is the ultimate in recycling – and that never goes out of style.  

Whatever you can envision using wood for, vintage lumber is an excellent starting point.  In fact, in many cases, recycled wood from old building is superior to what could be found on the shelves of your local lumber supply warehouse.  The older wood has aged to a point where the character and quality is consistent and able to be worked more effectively.
